If you’ve been reading my blogs for any length of time, I’m sure you already know that instrument studies, is for kids of all ages.

Whether your kids are as young as 3 years or as old as 17 years, you can always engage your kids’ curiosity and get them into appreciating music through instrument studies.

What has most homeschooling moms scratching their heads is the fact that it is hard how to fathom which activities are best for which age group.

So in this post I’m going to briefly tell you what activities are best suited for which group.

Also I am going to give you a preview of an online instrument studies unit so you can get a better understanding of what to do and expect in the homeschool.

Don’t forget to download the printable I have made available for you with this post.

Ready?

So, let’s get started.

  • Listen to the instrument.
  • Learn instrument facts.
  • Learn about the instrument family that it belongs to and other members of the family.

What other activities can you think of to engage kids of different ages?

Field trips and activities are a big hit with kids of any age group.

Taking little ones to an instrument store, so they can touch, feel and play different instruments will be a big hit with them.

Looking for live performance of brass bands or percussion bands in your community and attending them, also will be very exciting for your kids.

Don’t forget to download the printable I have made available, and most importantly please tell me which activities you will like to implement first.
