If you’ve been reading this blog for any period of time, you know I’m a great advocate for parents to take their kids’ musical education in to their hands, instead of outsourcing it.

As a direct result of that philosophy I have always made sure to break down the steps to adding music to the homeschool, and make them really easy and fun to implement.

One of my key suggestions has always been to create a musical theme for each month of the year.

While I know many of you have followed that advice through the years, I also know that there are many of you who find it hard to get your heads around it.

So in this post, I’m going to suggest a theme per month and tell you what exactly you can do with each theme,

I’ve even given you links to other posts on this blog that you can check out for more information about implementing each of the themes.

Now remember, you don’t have to wait until the start of the new year to begin, just start with whatever month of the year, in which you happen to read this post, and get going.

If there is a particular theme that you don’t like, no worries. Just double up or repeat a different theme to make up for it.

Got it?
