11 ‘Undeniable’ Benefits Of Learning Piano Online

Have you been wanting to teach your kids to play the piano, but the cost of private music classes, keep you from giving your kids the joy of learning to play piano?

I know how expensive private piano lessons can get and in this post, I want to share nine reasons why your child should learn to play the piano with the aid of an online course.

So let’s get started.

Self Discipline

Over the past few years, there has been much debate about online learning and how it can be good and bad for your kids.

Research also indicates that the completion rate and the retention rate for online learning when compared to offline learning is very low.

While this is all true, learning piano online and keeping at it and not becoming a statistic can be done with the right guidance.

So if you are willing to help support your child’s learning by being a very involved parent, then your child will be able to develop the all important soft skill of self discipline, which will not only result in your child learning to play the piano, but also having the grit needed to excel in other areas of life.

Self Motivation

As stated in the previous point, online learning has been shown to statistically have a very low retention and completion rate.

Therefore, if your child is to succeed at learning to play the piano online, then she will have to be self motivated and can you think of a better soft skill that she can develop while learning to play the piano?

Brings The Family Together And Helps Bonding

Unlike when a child learns from a private teacher, where the parents are not involved and are hands-off, learning online in the right context can bring the entire family together.

Also it bonds the parents and the children, because they are all involved in the learning process together.

Learn At Your Own Pace

Now, how can you deny that this is a benefit?

Well, I can deny that this is in fact a benefit. Why?

Because this benefit is often the ‘achilles heal’ of online learning.

When people think of learning at your own pace, they love it but, they are often picturing themselves learning when they want to and not learning when they don’t want to.

But that is not what this is about.

Learning at your own pace, means ‘consistently’ learning but only moving through the modules, based on your individual comfort level.

So, yes it is a definite benefit, but only if you learn consistently.

Review As Much As You Want

With online piano courses, you don’t have to pay the teacher over and over again, if you want a single module or exercise to be repeated over and over again.

Whereas with an offline private tutor you are still going to be paying for his or her time.

No Scheduling Problems

If you have multiple kids that you are transporting to a variety of extra curricular activities, I can only imagine how chaotic your schedule must be.

Well, why add another activity?

With online piano, you don’t have to worry about scheduling and rescheduling. Rather you can fit it into your daily routine in a way that makes the least amount of negative impact on your calendar.

Learn In Your PJs

Yes, this is another ‘undeniable’ benefit of online piano, your child can learn in her PJs if she wishes.

And you will find that most younger kids would love this.

Music For The Whole Family

With a one time cost, all your kids can often learn from the same program, without you having to spend separately for each one.

Can you imagine, hiring one private piano teacher to teach all your kids?

The costs can be astronomical, but not so with online courses.

Value

Yes, when you take all the above facts into consideration about the unlimited learning potential, the ability to learn at your own pace and review as much as you want, minimal scheduling inconveniences and no transportation costs etc, the value you gain from an online course, is undeniable.

Furthermore, you own the course for life and as many of your kids as needed can learn from the same course at no extra cost.

However, in order to be able to provide the value that has been discussed above, it is important to note that you have to select the right online course. In my post 6 ‘Must Have’ Features In An Online Piano Course, you can learn exactly what features are ultra important and how to identify them.

Start At Anytime When They Are Ready

No, waitlists, no waiting for the new semester, no waiting until you get back your cross country homeschooling adventure, you can start right now.

That definitely has to be benefit, doesn’t it?

Learn Whenever And Wherever

Yes, you can take extended vacations, go on a world-schooling expedition for two years, or a cross country homeschooling experience, without ever disrupting your child’s piano lessons.

Either way you don’t have to stop your music lessons. You can just take it ‘to go’.

What can be better than that?

Does this mean that Online Piano courses are for each and every kid? I wish the answer to that question could be a resounding YES, but unfortunately if I said YES, that would be a lie.

There are several circumstances in which online piano may not be the right decision for your child.

And before you jump to any conclusions after reading this post, I would like you to also read my post on 6 ‘Must Know’ Reasons Why Online Piano Is Not For Your Child.

Doing so will enable you to make an informed decision, based on your child’s specific personality, abilities, and needs.

Play Piano Today!

Teach your child to play piano, today.

Yes, in as little as 30 minutes I can show you how to teach your child to play the piano, for FREE.

What are you waiting for?

This program reminded me (and allowed me to teach my son) how to read music. To me, that was the most important thing that we learned together. Of course, it was very rewarding for me to watch my son play the piano with both hands at the same time, while reading sheet music. His favorite parts of the course were actually playing the songs and doing the worksheets provided.
